Innovation Meets Affordability: Economical Conductive Adhesives and Inks Offer Breakthrough Cost-Savings Solutions for Printed Electronics.
Creative Materials Inc. Introduces a new line of economical, high-performance conductive inks and adhesives designed for membrane switches, bus bars, and electrical attachments. These materials optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain reliability and performance compared to standard materials. Custom chemistries are available to meet specific application or substrate requirements. “With silver base prices up over 25% in the past three months, our clients are prioritizing cost-effective solutions for sustainable applications, “said Matthew Ganslaw, Executive Vice President of Sales. “We’re committed to helping customers manage costs while continuing to deliver value.”
Products:
127-21C – Low-cost silver-filled epoxy designed for structural and electrical bonding in high-reliability applications. It offers low volume resistivity, long-term stability under thermal cycling and humidity, and bonds to substrates like transparent conductive oxides, thin ceramics, and sputtered metals (e.g., gold). Its thixotropic consistency enables precise, slump-free dispensing in high-throughput environments.
Key Features:
- One-Component, syringe-dispensable system
- High tensile strength
- Low stress
- Long pot life
126-21C – Economical silver complex Ink/coating developed for screen printing application in products that require robustness and solvent resistance. The strong thermal and chemical stability supports high-throughput processing with minimal downtime. It offers excellent adhesion to ITO, Kapton, mylar, glass, polycarbonate, and a variety of other substrates. For use in EMI/RFI shielding, thick-film circuitry, electrical terminations and busbars.
Key Features:
- One-Component system
- Solvent-Resistant
- Cures at low temperatures
- High performance shielding
- High resistance to scratching and creasing
- Can be thinned with solvents for spray application
- Compatible for use in applications where 126-21C is also used
126-09 & 126-35 – Cost effective complementary electrically conductive inks/coatings: Silver-based conductive fillers provide low electrical resistance, uniform conductivity, and strong adhesion to substrates including Mylar and glass. Both formulations are compatible with screen printing, dipping, syringe dispensing, and drop-casting, offering process versatility for diverse manufacturing requirements. 126-09 optimized for fast drying and maintains mechanical durability under repeated flexing, abrasion, and creasing, making it suitable for membrane switches, EMI/RFI shielding on polyimide flex circuits and polymer thick-film circuitry. 126-35 exhibits extensive coverage, robust conductivity, and enhanced adhesion, engineered for demanding applications such as RFID antennae and EMI/RFI shielding, on polyimide flexible circuits, polymer thick-film circuitry, and membrane switches.
Key Features:
- 126-09 & 126-35 Can be blended to achieve customized resistance
- 126-09 Long open screentime
- 126-35 Properly used leads to significant cost savings
- 126-35 Surpasses durability of typical conductive inks
