Creative Materials develops a variety of silver, carbon, and dielectric inks that are used in the manufacture of the various layers that comprise membrane switches. Silver and carbon inks, with different conductivities and curing conditions, can be matched with a substrate choice and resistivity requirements of the printed circuitry of the membrane switch. Creative Materials provides membrane switch inks that are suitable for printing on either flexible or rigid surfaces, with useful temperature ranges from -55°C to 200°C. We offer blendable carbon and silver inks to achieve cost reduction and to tailor our inks to conductivity requirements. We also formulate compatible dielectric ink used to overlay protective layers.
Membrane switches interface between the user and electronic devices, and are used in aerospace, consumer, industrial, defense and gaming industries. Touch screens and plastic keyboards are examples of devices that utilize membrane switches.
Our popular ink systems are comprised of a compatible silver ink, carbon ink and a dielectric ink, which can be blended to adjust conductivity and to create cross-linkage to ensure enhanced conductivity and protection of circuitry. We also offer a number of conductive adhesives that work with these systems.
