More than 1,000 unique product formulations.
This summer marks Creative Materials’ 25th anniversary. Founded in 1987, Creative Materials has stayed true to our mission to provide custom-formulated inks, adhesives, and coatings that are specifically designed to suit particular application needs. Now, with over 1,000 unique standard products and still counting, Creative Materials can feel confident that we play a solid role in a technology-driven market.
Boston, MA – August 2012 – Creative Materials was founded by Silvio Morano in 1987 to address the need to provide custom-formulated high-performance materials for increasingly technical product requirements. Over the past quarter-century, we have been successful in helping our customers to launch new products, improve product performance, and pursue new entrepreneurial endeavors. Each of our materials was developed in relation to a particular application need by an experienced team of application engineers and R & D specialists, guided by input from the end-user.
Silvio Morano, company President, began his career at Amicon Corporation, a pioneer in the polymer coatings industry, where he worked his way through the ranks, over his more than 20-year tenure, to Director of Conductive Products. When he founded Creative Materials, he brought a wealth of technical expertise and business acumen, along with his infectious energy and drive for excellence. In 2004, Stuart Ganslaw joined the business as co-owner and VP of Business Development. Stu’s background includes more than 20 years in the specialty adhesive film and tape industry, as co-founder and owner of Coating Sciences, Inc. and ultimately as President and General Manager of Scapa North America.
Creative Materials has built a staff that includes a technical services department, an R & D team, and knowledgeable manufacturing and customer service personnel. Our staff combines the talents of experienced chemical, mechanical, and plastics engineers who have an in-depth understanding of polymeric materials and the properties and chemistries that can be achieved by combining them. In addition, we are an ISO 9001-certified company, with a strong orientation to excellence, quality-assurance, and customer satisfaction. We are confident that we produce among the finest products in the industry.
Our products tell the story of the technology demands in our industry, with increasing specialization of materials for niche markets and state-of-the-art products. Yet, some of our oldest products are still among our best-sellers and provide the foundation for many of our advanced formulations, which have been customized and improved to meet the demands of the market.
